This volume 2 of Ayabuelita was recorded as was the first volume, in beautiful Mayan tropical forest, where we share in medicine circles.
It’s progression refletcs the progression during ceremony with music as nd chants accompayning the different moments and experiences we go through in our journeys.
(It is not recorded during ceremony though, therefore no special effects :)
All the night birds and crikets in the background are singing live at moment of recording, an amazing nature’s art input to this musical project.

It is somehow a tribute to our dear soul brother and teacher Diego Palma , who has past away last year in october 2019.
The album starts with an icaro that he received in his dream, and ends with the sweet sound of water from the stream that flows behind his house in front of his temple in the sacred valley of Peru, and includes several of his favorite songs we use to sing together.

It is a combination of medicine songs in spanish, english, mantras, native chants from north, center and south America, and icaros..
borrowing songs from other artists or public domain with all respect, offering it’s playing and singing to the Great Spirit, always adding one’s own flavor to each song, each chant, with different instrumentation and ambiance.

We wish with this album to keep sharing with one another even when we are not in each other’s presence.
Listening to the album can help us reconnect with this space,
where we share in noble silence and noble sound of music and chanting.
Also wishing that this album will accompany many, in all kind of livings, experiences, and journeys.
I love and enjoy so much listening to my friends and their friends music while going on a drive, cooking, practicing yoga, singing along out loud or in my head, walking the earth, or contemplating a beautiful sunset...
